The Gunpowder Plot was
the first major act of terrorism to strike the government of England.
Even though the bomb never went off, severe consequences were to be felt
by all dissenters and communities of foreign immigrants within England.
As we gather around the bonfire each November 5 and as we shoot off the "bangers" and fireworks are we not exploding the gunpowder which was so timely discovered in the vault? On this page we shall explore the viewpoints of those who have suggested over the centuries that violence is an appropriate cure for state tyranny.
