Dinner

We here, at the big house, sit down to dine at eleven before noon. Should you find us not at home you may find that which you require as follows: If you please you will find trenchers and spoons at the ready upon the cupboard and napkins beside them. Two sharp carving knives are likewise. Voiders for the crumbs and morsels left uneaten are on the cupboard in the back. Please make yourself at home. Take special care with the new forks from Italy. You can use these new inventions to eat your meat.
