About the  Image: This Icon of the deliverance from the Gunpowder Plot is less detailed than other versions suggesting that it might be earlier.
The Icon conveyed the gravity of the situation in symbolic form. The eye of god shining down to reveal the faggots and gunpowder.
It is of interest that instead of Fawkes walking by with his lantern he is already executed! This might also demonstrate an early date or
at least an independence from other versions
