The Winds of the Popes
The dangers of the Papacy are laid out! How could King and country
survive with such threats about! The wonder of the survival of the state
and the importance of the preservation of the benefits of the state from
such evil winds are brought to life by Francis Herring in his anti-Catholic
Tract. In the early period the fate of the plot was determined by supernatural
powers which fought other demonic supernatural powers. The plot is
not so much a political as a wonder play.
