The Cellar of the Parliament House is taken as the
Publishing Office of this new Magazine. Guy gives himself out as a
"Dealer in the General Line" and as a blind hangs over his shed the
following placard: "Will be opened on the Fifth of November" |
As the Magazine is to consist principally of light articles and squibs, Guy proceeds to lay in a few trifles that are likely to make it go off. A barrel of gunpowder intended for the opening number is smuggled in, under the disguise of "Butter". Guy chuckles over these preparations for undermining the Constitution. |
