in the Green and May Day-Bringing up the Sun and Acknowledging the Wonder of Spring So it is the year 2008. Easter this year was very very early....and cold....and still March....it was not a celebration of Spring but stuck to resurrection which was fine enough but we could hardly celebrate the lush greenery and the plants and creation....so then....when can we do this? Well on May 1 of course because one way or the other we will have green on that day. Are we a bunch of Pagans....only those who wish to be. For my part I celebrate the goodness and wonder of creation! We celebrate the fourth command on the third day of creation. 11And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. 12And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 13And the evening and the morning were the third day. -King James Bible, Genesis I.
